Behind Gurgol Strength

Joshua Gurgol

Owner and Founder

Josh is a Certified Personal Trainer through NCSF, ATG L1 Strength Coach in training, and has his A.S in Sports Management. He played baseball for almost all of his life and is a pitcher. Throughout his 10+ years of pitching, he has never been injured once while sitting at high 80's with a 7 pitch arsenal. He has also played volleyball at a high level, and a black belt in Taekwondo, along with 7 years of experience specializing with sport-specific training and strength training.

Josh has trained a multitude of athletes, young and old, anywhere from basketball players, to Muay Thai fighters, as well as everyday gym-goers looking to improve strength and mobility. Josh's mission is to provide athletes and clients with the tools to train injury-free, maximize performance, and achieve their goals with absolute conviction.

Paul Gurgol

Paul W. Gurgol, MS, PT, COMT is a licensed physical therapist based in Akron, NY. He graduated from D’youville University in 1996 and has 30 years’ experience treating patients of all ages with orthopedic conditions. His certification in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (COMT) combined with his certification in pitching mechanics instruction has resulted in a treatment system which has proven to be very successful in assisting the pitcher and athletic population to improve performance and to reduce and eliminate injury. Paul W. Gurgol is also the successful Children’s book author of the Zero the Hero! book series which provides the reader a combination of moral life lessons with the real-world lessons of baseball and athletic endeavors.
